1200W PRESSURE WASHER
1. What kind of solution should I use to winterize the unit?
You should use pump anti-freeze (sometimes called pump saver) or a 50-50 mixture of water and antifreeze. RV anti-freeze or winter windshield washer may also be used.
2. Why do I have to winterize the unit?
It recommended for you to winterize the unit to prolong the unit's life. Winterizing will keep the internal parts lubricated, protect it from rust, and prevent the pump from freezing.
3. Quick winterizing procedure?
1. disconnect all water connections.
2. turn on machine for a few seconds until the remaining water in the pump exits. Turn off unit immediately
3. do not allow high pressure hose to become kinked
4. store the machine and accessories in a room that does not reach freezing temperatures. do not store near furnace or other sources of heat as it may dry out the pump seals.
4. Maintenance Tips for Connections ?
Connections on pressure washer hoses; gun and spray wand should be cleaned regularly and lubricated with lubricant such as SAE30 (Vaseline can be a temporary substitute)
5. What do I do after I finish using my pressure washer??
Step 1
End of detergent application. (If you are not using detergent, go directly to Step 2. When you have finished using the detergent injection system, remove detergent suction tube from bottle and insert into 1 gallon (5 L) of fresh water. Siphon water at low-pressure for one minute so that all detergent is flushed through system. Remove detergent bottle and rinse it until it is thoroughly cleaned.
Step 2
Turn the switch to OFF(0) position and unplug cord from outlet.
Step 3
Turn off the water supply.
Step 4
Press trigger to release water pressure.
Step 5
Disconnect the garden hose from the water inlet on the unit.
Step 6
Disconnect the high-pressure hose from the high pressure outlet and engage the gun safety lock.
IMPORTANT:
Always turn off water supply and squeeze trigger to depressurize the unit and discharge remaining water in the system.
6. How do I switch my pressure washer from low pressure to high pressure or high pressure to low pressure ?
For the JH03, there is no high or low pressure setting.
7. Can I use a hot water for the pressure washer?
No. As stated clearly in the manual, the unit is only made to be used with cold water supply only. Do not draw other liquids
8. What kind of extension cords should I used?
as explained in the manual, page 3. the maximum cable length is 50 feet (14 AWG). The type should be for OUTDOOR use.
9. Can I use detergent with the pressure washer?
No. This model does not come with detergent application kit.
10. Why does it take a while for the pressure washer to build up to full pressure?
1. Generally customer should get high pressure instantly, but it is normal to have a short period of time for the pressure to build up, under the assumption of having proper water & power supply.
2. Each unit also has slight variations on performance through out the assembly line. It is normal for the pressure washers to take couple more seconds to build up the pressure fully
11. Can't turn the machine on initially (motor not turning on) or after the unit has not been used for a while.?
1. Make sure the power cord is plugged into proper outlet.
2. No other appliances are plugged in the same outlet and turned it on at the same time.
3. Make sure no extension cord is used for initial testing. If extension cord MUST be used, it has to be a proper 14-gauge (14AWG) cord with length of 50' or less.
4. Keep the water supply OFF & turn the switch ON.
If the motor starts, *TURN IT OFF in 2 or 3 seconds. Then you can start using the unit by turning the water supply and switch on accordingly.
If the motor does not start, turn the switch on and off couple more times to prime the unit.
12. How long can I continuously run my pressure washer for?
The pressure washer can be run for 30 minutes at one time.
13. The source of my water supply is a tank/reservoir, can I is use this as a water source?
No. The pressure washer is not designed to be used with tank/reservoir. If use any water tank or reservoir as a water supply, the customer must make sure:
- output water pressure from the tank is no less than 20psi and not greater than 100psi.
- the output water flow rate is greater than 2 gallon per minute.
14. The pressure washer has tripped my fuse, or breaker?
All pressure washers operate at 13A (ranging from 12.5 to 14.0A to be exact;some smaller units might run at 11A). Outlet from garage is usually connected to 15A household circuit breakers.
So, depending on the age of the circuits, and how many appliances are running off the circuit, it is possible that you may blow the fuse. Another instance where you may also blow the fuse is when at that moment that you are using the pressure washer and there is another appliance requiring more amps.
In cases where the fuse blows, try using another outlet.
If possible, use of 20A circuit breaker will be better since, in some rare cases, units could have amperage spike up for a very short time.
Condition applied:
1. The unit is used for the first time and it trips breaker
2. The unit trips household breaker after taking a break (5 minutes or more)
3. The unit goes on and off continuously with the adjustable wand is attached. And consequently in some cases, the unit trips breaker.
Preventative Procedures:
Under all conditions:
1. Make sure the unit connects to the power outlet with 15A breaker.
2. Make sure the output voltage with loading meets the specified standard by Electrical Code for household appliances, which is 102 volt or above.
3. Make sure the switch is in OFF position and the unit is UNPLUGGED before leaving the unit
1. The unit is used for the first time and it trips breaker
Step 1: Make sure the water supply is turned OFF before further instruction
Step 2: Turn the switch on and off repeatedly for couple times to reach prime
Step 3: Turn the water supply on
Step 4: Squeeze the trigger and turn the switch on
2. The unit trips household breaker after taking a break (5 minutes or more)
Before each break, make sure
Step 1: the water supply is turned OFF
Step 2: Purge excess water out
Step 3: Turn the switch OFF and unplugged the unit
3. The unit goes on and off continuously with the adjustable wand is attached. And consequently in some cases, the unit trips breaker
Step 1: Detach the adjustable wand and clean the nozzle thoroughly
Step 2: If the unit keeps going on and off repeatedly, replace the blocked adjustable wand ONLY
15. When using adjustable wand , the motor shuts off.
Scenario:
- Unit/motor goes on and off repeatedly during operation
- Water pressure varies (goes high and low repeatedly) during operation
Importance:
* Usually above 2 scenarios will only occur with adjustable wands)
* When unit is NOT under operation, if unit/motor goes on by itself for a second or two and stops, this does NOT indicate malfunction. This is where pump is rebuilding the pressure since pressure inside the pump drops over the time.
Troubleshooting Tips:
1. Check water supply
- make sure you have stable water supply from city water line (pressure from city tap water usually varies from 40~70psi)
- make sure water supply does not vary high and low
- do not use water from well or lake
- do not connect to a water reservoir through a water pump
2. Check adjustable wand
Step 1: Take adjustable wand off the gun
Step 2: Put the pin/needle through the nozzle to clear out the clog
Step 3: Pour some water from the lance end of adjustable wand. Tap the wand against ground & allow debris to be rinsed out. Step 4: Point nozzle end toward light source and look through from the lance end. If you can see the light source coming through (light spot through the nozzle), the nozzle is cleared.
If nozzle can not be cleared after several trials (can not see lights going through nozzle), order a replacement from Osirus if under 90 days warranty.
If adjustable wand nozzle is cleared but still experience above problems, first replace the wand. If the replacement wand is good but machine continues to experience the same problem, direct customer/unit to authorized repair depot.
16. Why has my machine stopped running?
| Cause |
Solution |
| Main switch is at OFF (0) |
Turn the machine switch to ON and make sure it is pressed firmly.
|
Power cord is not plugged in properly.
|
Plug in power cord.
|
No Power supply from the outlet
|
Try a different outlet
|
| Water supply is not ON |
Turn on the water supply (Make sure the water source of the house is ON.
|
Trigger gun is locked
|
Release the lock.
|
Extension cord is too long, not properly gauged or damaged.
|
Try to use the machine without extension cord. If it works, replace extension cord with either 25 feet 12/2 gauge cord or 50 feet 10/2 gauge cord.
|
The machine is overheated due to high temperature or extensive usage. circuit breaker is tripped.
|
Unplug power, turn off water source, and allow unit to cool down over half an hour. This will re-set circuit breaker.
|
17. My washer is making sound in the beginning, and suddenly there is no sound at all.
It is normal that the machine is making sound when you turn on the machine. It is because the machine is building the pressure inside. After the pressure is built, the machine will not make sound until the gun is triggered. So, pointing the gun to the place you want to clean and squeeze the trigger.
18. My motor has stopped working, even though it was fine a moment ago.
Cause: Machine is likely overheated due to high temperature or extensive usage.
Check:
(1) whether household circuit breaker is tripped
(2) whether wand is being blocked completely)
Note: JH03 does not come with thermal protector, so cutoff due to overheat will not occur.
19. Machine is making on and off sounds, and there is no water coming out from the nozzle.
The problem is most likely cause by debris blocking inside the nozzle.
Remove the wand from the gun. Hold down the trigger of the gun to see if there is any water coming out. If there is water coming out, then your motor is fine. Please follow the following 3 steps to clean the nozzle ONLY if it is an Adjustable Wand.
Removing debris from Adjustable Wand Nozzle:
1. Put the wand upside and clean the nozzle using the needle which is provided inside the manual.
2. Flush out nozzle with water.
3. Repeat it a few times to make sure the debris is out.
20.My gun cannot be triggered.
Release the lock off the trigger gun.
21.My machine does not reach high-pressure.
When starting the pressure washer, you must hold down the trigger continuously for the first five seconds to let the water-pressure build up. If you keep pumping the trigger, the pressure will not have the chance to build up.
Pressure washer's optimal range is 8 inches to 36 inches from surface being cleaned. Any task beyond this range will not yield best results. (ie. second floor windows).
There are some situations that would cause this problem

Step1:Tap the wand against floor to loose the connecting end between the wand and gun.
Step 2:Turn the tap counterclockwise (just like how you normally disengage the wand).
Step 3:Slip a flat screwdriver between the wand and gun. Gently push the wand loose and away from the gun.
IMPORTANT! Before insert the wand back to gun, lubricate the rubber o-ring on the wand using VASELINE PETROLEUM LOTION.
28.Why is it leaking from, or between, the quick connector and the coupler?
First, make sure the pieces are assembled onto machine correctly. Assembling it the wrong way may damage the rubber o-ring in the quick-coupler.
Ensure that the quick-connector (or Inlet Adapter) is tightly screwed to the unit's water inlet.
Make sure the quick-connector is properly threaded onto the garden hose: the rubber o-ring end is threaded onto the hose, and the ends with the ball-bearings will attach to the quick-connector (Inlet Adaptor).
If there is leaking from where the quick coupler & adapter connect, then the rubber seal inside may be damaged, and a part order is required.
29. Which side is the water inlet and which side is the water outlet?
The water outlet is located on the front (For JH03, where pressure hose connects to, outlet, is metal) .
The water inlet in located on the back side of the unit (For JH03, where the adaptor connects to is made of plastic).
